I’m watching construction at the Marine Barracks Annex at 7th & L Street SE and when I look up some of the documents, they state there will be a 105 foot entry tower. BUT, the documents reference the Height Limit Act,
but MISQUOTE what it says. They say the HLA allows 110 foot limit. But the HLA is based on the width of the adjacent street + 20’. (Since the adjacent street is Va Ave, I’m unsure how to measure that to verify that they are actually allowed that height). Can one of your brilliant readers tell me how to measure the street and whether to count the street, the sidewalks, the freeway that splits the street, or both sides/directions of Va Avenue?“
