Dear PoPville

“Hoping for a holiday miracle – wedding tuxedo was lost/stolen at Union Station”

“Dear PoPville,

Hoping for a holiday miracle with this one. My fiancé’s wedding tuxedo was lost/stolen at Union Station last night (Wednesday.) Our wedding is Friday. He came out of Gate A of Union Station around 7:50pm on Wednesday night, was rolling multiple suitcases. As he was exiting, his blue Proper Cloth garment bag containing his wedding tuxedo fell off the suitcase and on to the floor. Less than two minutes later,

a white or hispanic or middle eastern 5’7-5’10 man with black hair wearing a black puffer jacket, khaki pants, and a black+turquoise crossbody bag walks in from the opposite direction and picked up the garment bag on the ground around 8pm. We have photos and videos. He looked around the station and then quickly walked away with it. He goes past the Sbarro’s in the station. He had multiple opportunities to turn it in to Amtrak customer service, Red Caps, or security, or Amtrak police but chose to walk away with it.

Very heartbroken. The tuxedo is custom made and has our wedding date stitched inside: 12.12.2025. Don’t know what the solution is here but want to put this out there. Just incredibly sad that someone would walk away with something so special. If this post reaches him, please tell him it would mean the world if he can return it before Friday. You can drop it off at Royal Sonesta Dupont, no questions asked. We are just trying to recover this. Thank you.”
