“Dear PoPville,
In August, my friends and I came back to our car (we share it between the 3 of us) in Lanier Heights at the cross streets of Ontario Road and Ontario Place to find that it had been hit. A very kind stranger left a note explaining that a FedEx truck had hit the car and gave us the license plate information.
After reporting this to FedEx, they have refused to take any accountability. First, they tried to tell us that they did not operate a truck with that license plate; later that day, my friend arrived home and saw a FedEx truck with that exact license plate number parked in front of her building (see photo above). Now, FedEx is claiming it is a he-said-she-said situation and will not reimburse us for any repairs.
If you could help us find and connect with the kind stranger who left the note, we would be eternally grateful. We need an eye witness to escalate this any further. The cost of the repairs are equal to about 80% of the car’s value — a price that is unrealistic for us to justify to repair it. We would rather not give up on this car.”
