It looks like a longtime fixture of my neighborhood has closed: World Wine at 15th and Penn S.E.
Richard Lee’s parents and then Richard have been fixtures on that corner since the 1980s, so it’s especially sad to see their business close, if they have. Richard put a lot of effort into renovating the interior when he took over, and he’s been a good neighbor.
His inventory has really dwindled, and I know he was having a hard time.
I heard from a neighbor who said the staff told him that another liquor store will go in there, but not operated by the Lee family. FWIW.”
