Thanks to Sandy for passing on from the National Park Service:
“Effective October 1, the East Potomac Tennis Center is closed as part of a transition between operators. The center will remain closed until at least June 2025 as the new operator completes improvements to the facilities.
In April 2023, the National Park Service issued a Request for Proposals for a long-term, competitive lease of the East Potomac Tennis Center to ensure the best possible recreational experience for players and the community while also allowing for capital improvements. Proposals were reviewed and rated by a panel, which made a recommendation to select East Potomac Racquet Sports Partners proposal. Negotiations between the NPS and EPR on a long-term lease are expected to be completed soon.
The tennis center, located in East Potomac Park (National Park Service), is a popular, conveniently located destination with views of the Washington Monument, Washington Channel and East Potomac Golf Links.”
