I was getting coffee at Tryst on Monday morning when a commotion broke out. I turned around to see a man gesticulating wildly, loudly spewing hate speech.
I applaud Tryst staff for taking swift action – dealing with the man in a calm but effective manner to de-escalate the situation; keeping everyone safe. It’s disappointing that it took so long for the police to show up. I’m not sure what exactly transpired when the police did finally show up but I saw the man walk away after a brief interaction with them.”
