I was at Soleluna on Saturday afternoon (5/18) in the middle of yet another rainy day. I grabbed one of the very few tables and a guy asked if he could sit with me.
I said sure but then was immediately awkward since I was paranoid about eating my giant chocolate croissant in front of an audience. He didn’t have an umbrella and was pretty drenched. But he said Soleluna was one of his favorite coffee shops and that he lived nearby on 16th. Soleluna is arguably one of the best coffee shops in DC (those guava pastries, amiright?), and I regretted not engaging in more conversation with him.
Anyways, to the dude without an umbrella with good taste in coffee shops: if you’re reading this, perhaps we can meet up again one day. Unless you’re a murderer, in which case, no need to respond!”
