“Made in ALX Makers’ Markets Return to Port City Saturday, May 4”

“The first Made in ALX Makers’ Market of 2024 is set for Saturday, May 4 at Port City Brewing Co. in Alexandria!

This fun sip-and-shop event features craft beer from the award-winning Port City Brewing Co. along with food, shopping and activities for all ages.

About 30 artists from Alexandria and the region will pop-up with gifts for Mother’s Day, spring birthdays and just because. Signed artists for the May 4 event include Daniel Horowitz Art, CalmConnectWell Self Care Gifts, Chandra Designs, Garden Home, Ambitiously You, Silvergirl Handmade, Puzzles from Art and more than 20 other local makers.There is easy street and off-street parking at Port City Brewing Co., at 3950 Wheeler Ave. in Alexandria’s West End.

The market will open at noon and close at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 4. Port City Brewing Co. has plenty of outside and inside seating. The event is kid-friendly and pet-friendly, and it will also include games and food trucks.

Artist applications are still being accepted. Apply here! (In addition to May 4, Made in ALX will host makers’ markets at Port City Brewing on Sept. 14, Nov. 30 and Dec. 15 this year.)

Made in ALX is a collective of dozens of Alexandria, Virginia-based local artists, creators and makers. Founded in 2020 by Alexandria women, the collective opened a retail store and workshop/event space in Old Town North in 2022 at 533 Montgomery St. Made in ALX’s goal is to support local creatives — and make it easier for people to find them.”
