327 S Street, NE

From an email:

“We’re excited to announce that we are going to start a live music series called “Live at Lost Gen” every Friday and Saturday night from 8-11PM starting this weekend. Guests can see who’s performing on our events calendar here but here is the line-up for the next couple of weeks:

Friday Nights with Emma G!
Starting this Friday 1/12 from 8-11pm @emmagmusic will be here bringing her soulful pop/rock stylings and immense, positive energy to Lost Gen.

Winner of the 2022 Wammy Award for Best Pop Artist and “Best Of DC” by Washingtonian Magazine in 2017, Emma is also known for her public speaking and her empowering, uplifting messages. Of her focus, she says, “My goal is to save the world one song at a time – both through the music I compose, and the songs I help teenagers write. Through my music, I aim to motivate, spread love, and embrace authenticity: helping individuals rediscover their true selves.”

Saturday Night Jazz with Abe Mamet!
Starting this Saturday 1/13 from 8-11pm, @abram_mamet will be bringing jazz to Lost Generation! Lauded as D.C.’s “major jazz French horn player” by the Washington Post, and named one of 2023’s “artists to watch” by DCist, Abe Mamet is a composer and instrumentalist committed to using his music to both entertain and build community. Every Saturday night, Abe and his trio bring high-energy and grooving jazz to Lost Generation Brewing, a roaring reminder of the 1920’s Jazz Age. Watch out for special guests, as you never know which cream of the D.C. jazz scene might pop in for a late-night hang!”

Finding a gift for moms can be difficult. Google “Mother’s Day gifts,” and you’ll scroll through endless lists of beauty products, candles and fuzzy robes. Sure, those are sweet, but sometimes it’s fun to surprise loved ones with something a little more, well, practical!

Here’s one idea: Give her a gift certificate for a home cleaning from Well-Paid Maids. It’s the perfect “thank you,” “I love you” or “you’ve got this” for any mom. She can schedule the home cleaning at her convenience and breathe easy knowing she has one less thing to do.

Our cleaners will take care of everything, including vacuuming and mopping as well as cleaning and dusting countertops, tables, mirrors, appliances and more. Sinks, toilets, showers and appliance exteriors also get a good scrub.
