Multiple Shootings Last Night as well as a Shooting Homicide at 1:42 p.m. – Crime Awareness Event on H Street, NE this afternoon

A reader reported: “Heard what sounded like a shootout from my apartment on 16th in Mt pleasant. Sounds coming from Columbia Heights. Can now hear choppers circling”

From MPD around 10pm: “Alert: Shooting Investigation in the 3100 block of 16th Street NW. Lookout for a B/M, wearing a light gray hoodie with dreadlocks.”

From MPD around 11pm: “Alert: Double Shooting Investigation at the intersection of Tennessee and C Street NE Lookout for a white sedan.”

Update from MPD:

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a shooting that killed a man and left another injured in Northeast D.C.

On Monday, October 16, 2023, at approximately 10:19 p.m., First District officers responded to the 300 block of Tennessee Avenue, Northeast, for the report of sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located two men with gunshot wound injuries. One died at the scene and the other was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by sending a text message to 50411.”

“Alert: Homicide Investigation in the 900 block of Sheridan St NW. Lookout is for 4 subjects last seen on Sheridan St NW.”

“Alert: Shooting Investigation in the 1300 block of 49th Street, NE.. Lookout is for a Silver Toyota Camry with blacked out tinted windows.”

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a shooting that killed a man in Northeast, D.C.

On Monday, October 16, 2023, at approximately 1:42 p.m., Fifth District officers responded to the 1500 block of Maryland Avenue, Northeast, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a man with gunshot wound injuries. He was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Davon Fuller, of Northwest, DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by sending a text message to 50411.”
