Reunion Hot Yoga Opens Today in Park View

3232 Georgia Ave, NW

From an email:

“Reunion Hot Yoga, located in Park View at 3232 Georgia Ave NW DC, Suite 105 opens Monday August 14th. The studio offers beginner friendly 26&2 (fka Bikram lineage) yoga, as well as warm yin, slow flow and hybrid flow. Beginner friendly hot yoga is not an oxymoron! The heat helps even the least flexible folks gain mobility, balance, strength and peace of mind. The studio is ADA accessible and welcomes first time practitioners as well as long time yogis.

Owner and operator Holly Hancock previously taught at Hot Spot Dupont in Dupont Circle, which closed during the pandemic. Holly says the name Reunion is in part a nod to getting her former yoga community back together, and also an homage to the word yoga, which means union in Sanskrit. She wants Reunion to feel like a sanctuary from the “So what do you do for a living?” DC grind. Holly previously worked in the restaurant industry for nearly a decade at Ventnor Sports Cafe (RIP), and plans on doing a Monday Industry Night starting in September for restaurant professionals who want to be in community outside of bars.

New students can get their first month for $49 (normally $69) when they join in August. Check out reunionhotyoga.com for more info!”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
