I went for a stroll along Sligo Creek on Thursday afternoon and took a break on a bench to kick off my shoes and bask in the sun for a bit. That’s when I missed a connection…
You:
Tall, slender, dark hair, in a white tank tee, long khaki pants, a red bandana around your neck, and a plastic bottle in your hand. Like me, you seemed to be enjoying some time grounding your bare feet to the sand. You approached a small dog who was yapping at you, and spent time petting it and chatting with two friendly people sitting on a log before heading to the creek’s bank.
Me: Orange graphic tee, cropped and sleeves cut off, long baggy-ish pants, large, thick-framed mirror sunglasses, and shoes kicked off while relaxing on the bench facing the creek. A long khaki knit sweater tied around my waist. Petite with long brown hair tied into a low ponytail.
It seemed there was a moment we locked eyes, but I was 200% too shy to assume this and wave. Instead, I gathered myself and scooted away. Feels odd to try here, but I suppose I don’t lose anything by doing so!
