“Dear PoPville,

You, golden-brown, curly hair and a (maybe) ochre shirt. Me, glasses, burgundy, black pants, toting several books, from Independent Bookstore Day.

We started talking while listening to the 2 PM show at 9th and Upshur when

I commented that the canopy that the band was playing under wasn’t actually a porch. Both of us were in the same situation of having the friends we were supposed to go with last week not being able to attend the new rain date. You said you were from North Carolina, and I gave you some folk/bluegrass recommendations for some of the bands I was planning on seeing, and you said, “I hope we see each other later.” But we didn’t. I remain slightly devastated.

I still recommend that you see Roof Beams. Maybe I’ll see you at their next show?”

Note- this is not an ad for Roof Beams. I just really like them. And maybe you too :)

Ed. Note: If this is you, please email [email protected] so I can put you in touch with OP. PoPville is not affiliated with either party, please proceed with any potential connection at your own risk using caution as you would any online encounter. For those curious about past missed connections, many have been made and when possible I’ll try to update when/if more are made.
