“Dear PoPville,
I sat in Compass Coffee on Half Street in Navy Yard today (Saturday 4/8) for a few hours (from around 2pm-5pm) right next to/ and then across from (they moved to a communal table after around 30 mins) a group of three guys who met up to do some work together.
One of them,
who was wearing a USA Hockey cap, black sweats, and white Reeboks, caught my eye— and we exchanged glances a few times while I was reading on my Kindle and he was working on his laptop.
He was super into the playlist at Compass, and when Natasha Bedingfield’s- Unwritten- came on he sang along to it- proclaiming to his friends that he’d start his work after the song finished. It was funny (I couldn’t help but laugh), adorable, and charming 🥺
Kicking myself for not shooting my shot- or giving my number to your friends to pass along after you left. Alas- if you’re reading this, and interested, I am the cutie with the brown ponytail who was wearing a black tshirt, leggings, and white Nike Air Max sneakers.
I’d love to grab a drink or late dinner at Rumi’s Kitchen :)”
