“Dear PoPville,

I was out on a long run this past Sunday afternoon (3/26), crossing the Arlington Memorial Bridge, when a cute runner caught my eye. We glanced at each other as I stopped to take a photo of the view. Then we both crossed over onto the VA side of the Mount Vernon Trail and proceeded to pass each other several times as I kept stopping to take blossom photos. At one point you attempted to say hi, but I awkwardly sped past you. We both crossed back into DC on the 14th street bridge, then went in different directions. If you’re reading this and interested, I would love to go on a run sometime! I was the girl in the black shorts and blue tank. I will know it’s you if you can tell me what language you said hello in. :)”

“Last night (Monday 3/27) I went to the Boy Named Banjo concert at the 9:30 club.

I started talking to two cute women who agreed to save my spot for me while I ran to grab a drink at the bar. I started talking a bit more with one named Anna [IF NAMES NEED TO BE REDACTED, FEEL FREE TO DO SO] about the venue, how we discovered the band, etc. At the end of the night, I wanted to get your number but also didn’t want to make your friend feel uncomfortable, so I never asked. But, if you see this and you’re interested, I’d love to grab a drink or see another concert sometime!”

and

“This morning (Friday) on Bus 42 around 8:20 or so you hopped on the bus somewhere along Columbia road ( I think) in a really cool cream jacket. I tapped you on the shoulder and asked where you purchased the jacket and we proceeded to have a very brief conversation about thrift stores in DC. As more commuters got on the bus you had to move back to give others space and our conversation ended. When you got off the bus we waved goodbye.

Hoping to bump into you again soon and would like to hang out / continue our conversation since we seem to live in the same neighborhood.”

Ed. Note: If this is you, please email [email protected] so I can put you in touch with OP. PoPville is not affiliated with either party, please proceed with any potential connection at your own risk using caution as you would any online encounter. For those curious about past missed connections, many have been made and when possible I’ll try to update when/if more are made. Monday’s Trader Joe’s MC was connected! AND just connected the Saloon MC too!

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
