“Brooklyn-Born Favorite is Set to Open Scoop Shops in D.C.’s Union Market, Adams Morgan, and Georgetown” this Spring/Summer

We’ve been scooping out the news to ya since September but here’s the official word and more info from a press release:

“Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, the cult favorite brand known for its made-from-scratch dairy and vegan flavors, today announces its expansion to the Washington, D.C. market.

Throughout Spring/Summer 2023, Van Leeuwen will open stores in three of D.C.’s most iconic neighborhoods and culinary destinations – Union Market (418 Morse St. NE), Adams Morgan (2421 18th St. NW), and Georgetown (photo above 3245 Prospect St. NW).

“We love D.C and are so excited to bring Van Leeuwen to the Nation’s Capital at last, we are lucky to have found three dynamic neighborhoods that will soon be home to our scoop shops,” says co-founder and CEO Ben Van Leeuwen. “We hope Washingtonians love our philosophy of ‘good ice cream that makes you feel good’ just as much as we do.”

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream was started out of a yellow scoop truck on the streets of NYC in 2008 by Ben Van Leeuwen, Pete Van Leeuwen and Laura O’Neill. Since 2008, Van Leeuwen has innovated beyond the original dairy recipe and added vegan ice cream to their scoopable lineup. In 2021, they launched their first line of dairy and vegan ice cream novelty bars.

Each forthcoming location will feature more than 30 of the brand’s signature flavors–including Honeycomb, Pistachio (made with pistachios sourced from Mount Etna in Sicily), Marionberry Cheesecake (made with vine-ripened berries from Oregon farm partner Stahlbush Island Farms), and Earl Grey Tea (made with Rishi Tea)–along with custom sundaes, handmade ice cream sandwiches, root beer floats, milkshakes and pints to-go.

An extensive selection of Van Leeuwen’s famed vegan flavors, such as Churros & Fudge and Peanut Butter Brownie Honeycomb, will also be available.

Additionally, guests can expect special, to-be-announced, local collaboration flavors that will debut in tandem with each store opening.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
