Last month, we asked PoPville readers to show their support for Well-Paid Maids by voting for their favorite maid service in Washington City Paper’s Best of D.C. contest.
This month, we have an exciting announcement: WE WON!
It’s official. Well-Paid Maids won best maid service in D.C. for the second year in a row.
Here’s what founder Aaron Seyedian had to say about the news:
Everyone at @WellPaidMaids is thrilled to learn we have won Best Maid Service for the second year in a row!
Proof-positive that (besides being the right thing to do) paying a living-wage and offering a full benefits package guarantees an excellent customer experience. https://t.co/JC3Lz4tHW8

For more than five years, Well-Paid Maids has served the D.C. area.
It stands out from the rest of the pack (beating out nine other cleaning services!) because it pays cleaners — who are employees, not contractors — a living wage of at least $22 an hour. It also offers benefits, like insurance, 24 paid days off per year and more.
“Working at Well-Paid Maids has felt like a breath of fresh air,” Lexi Grant said. She joined the company as a cleaner and has since been promoted to operations manager.
Customers are happy, too. Well-Paid Maids has amassed over 150 Google reviews with a 4.9-star average. Over on Yelp, the company boasts 5 stars with more than 100 reviews.
