Today’s Rental was chosen for the price of a 2 bed and the in unit washer/dryer, obviously

This rental is located at 1st Street NW near Bates Street NW. The Craigslist ad says:

“$1,850 / 2br – 750ft2 – Sunny, renovated 2-bedroom garden unit (Washington DC (Shaw area/Truxton Circle))

The Place:
This is a beautiful, spacious, renovated 2 bedroom apartment with full bathroom, full kitchen (including dishwasher), and combo washer/dryer in unit. It has central air and high quality wood-look tile floors. It’s a garden unit (a few feet below street level) that is surprisingly bright.

The Location:
The apartment is in the Shaw area (in a micro-neighborhood called Truxton Circle, near Bloomingdale and Le Droit Park), about a 15-minute walk in either direction to the NoMa stop on the red line or the Shaw/Howard stop on the green and yellow lines. It’s also very close to several bus lines. It’s in a vibrant area that is full of good food and drink, including Big Bear Café and the Bloomingdale farmers’ market, which are only a couple of blocks away, and several great spots for eating in and delivery. It’s a cute neighborhood with friendly neighbors, and street parking is pretty easy.

The Tenant(s):
We are looking for mature, responsible, friendly people who will take good care of the place and be good neighbors.

Price:
$1850/month, including water but not other utilities.

Will do showings by appointment. Available October 1.

1st Street NW and Bates (between P and Q Street NW).”

Now, our last show may or may not have mentioned Taylor Swift, and we may have gotten into some trouble from confused Swifties who thought they scored a $15 ticket to a Taylor Swift concert. So, to apologize and clear up any confusion, we’ve decided to dedicate another show to her. We promise she might or might not appear this time.
