Missed Connection – downpour under the bridge at 2nd and L Street NE and waiting for the bus at 11th and G and in Ballston

“Dear PoPville,

We met during a downpour under the bridge at 2nd and L Street NE on 7/28. I had just left Wundergarten with my dog Balto and you were sheltering from the rain. I asked if you were German and we had a fun conversation before I left to get soaked on the way home.”

“This incredibly sounds redundant with what you posted earlier this week about a missed connection at 11th and G, but I swear that I just had my own version tonight (Wednesday).

I was waiting for the bus at 11th and G (Downtown) after a game of kickball. Around 9:20pm, a girl named Amalie (spelling may be incorrect) came to also wait for the S2 bus and struck up conversation. She had also been playing kickball in the same league. We chatted for a couple minutes, but my bus came and we only had time to exchange names. I didn’t get the chance to ask her for her number, but if she sees this, I hope she’ll reach out just like she started things off.”

and

“I was in Ballston yesterday (Thursday) on my way to a date that ended up fizzling. You were an attractive blonde woman in a white shirt and blue jeans. You approached me at crosswalk with the sun glaring in my eyes. You asked “Does this hat look stupid on me? “I’m going on a date at Nats Park.” I responded by saying “You look absolutely great! You’ll probably break his heart!” You thanked me and then walked off.

I wished I had asked for your number! Depending on how your date went I’d love to buy you a drink sometime”

Ed. Note: If this is you, please email [email protected] so I can put you in touch with OP. PoPville is not affiliated with either party, please proceed with any potential connection at your own risk using caution as you would any online encounter. For those curious about past missed connections, many have been made and when possible I’ll try to update when/if more are made.
