You won’t want to miss this year’s lineup of local and national R&B, jazz and go-go musicians. The series starts on Saturday, July 30 with Sirius Company, Be’La Dona, The Soul Searchers and DJ Rico.

“The National Park Service is thrilled to celebrate 50 years of music and gathering with friends and family for summer concerts in Fort Dupont Park,” Tara Morrison, Superintendent for National Capital Parks-East, said.

Save the date for the rest of this summer’s concerts. We’ll announce artists soon for the following dates:

Saturday, August 13

Saturday, August 20

Saturday, August 27

Saturday, September 3

These free, public events, hosted live at Fort Dupont’s outdoor amphitheater, are an annual celebration that invite Washington metropolitan area residents across generations to enjoy incredible music from national, regional and local artists. The National Park Service continues to honor the series’ tradition of bringing people together for culture, community and connection.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and live performances begin at 7 p.m. for all concerts. Tickets are not required. There will not be a concert on Saturday, August 6.

Fort Dupont Park’s amphitheater is located at 3600 F Street, SE Washington, DC 20019.

You are invited to bring family and friends, lawn chairs, blankets and food. Grills, glass bottles, coolers and alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the park.

Can’t make it to this year’s concerts? Fort Dupont Park is open year-round and offers opportunities for all ages and interests including birding, wildlife viewing, photography, picnics and volunteering.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
