“EU Open House is Back, Showcasing Solidarity with Ukraine”

From an email:

“For the first time since 2019, the EU Open House, a staple event of the DC spring calendar, returns to Washington. This Saturday, May 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.,

the Delegation of the European Union to the United States and the embassies of the countries of the EU will be open to the public. The EU Open House offers visitors a rare, first-hand look inside diplomatic buildings and a unique opportunity to experience national traditions, sample European foods, and interact with diplomats. Admission is free and no reservation is required.

This year’s EU Open House will also highlight European Union solidarity with Ukraine. Ukrainian diplomats will join the EU Delegation as special guests throughout the day, including Ukraine’s Ambassador to the U.S.

While each embassy will offer something different for people to enjoy, guests visiting the Delegation will get a look at art installations and engage with local diplomats to learn how the EU is fighting for a sustainable future and the preservation of global democracy. Children can design buttons to show their support for Ukraine and everyone can sample European cuisine from a local food truck.

This annual tradition celebrates Europe Day, which marks the founding of the European Union as we know it today. To learn more, visit www.euopenhouse.org.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
