“Petworth Porchfest is back on Saturday, April 30, from 2-6pm, following last year’s spectacular debut. The event is the largest musical activation in the city, with 135 bands playing 78 porches (and two stages) over 4 hours within a 2 mile radius. That’s 101 hours of live music!
Join us for the kick off at 2pm on the lawn of the Petworth Recreation Center (801 Taylor St NW) for welcome remarks by Mayor Muriel Bowser, Ward 4 Councilmember Janeese Lewis George, and the all volunteer organizing committee. The Main Stage performers include Riz Tha Great, Vintz Desert, Data Recovery Project, Thunderpaw, Near Northeast, and Brandon Woody’s Upendo. There will also be a special Bhangra dance demonstration from Dance Loft 14. The full schedule and map can be found @petworthporchfest”
