“Get ready to say ‘good-bye’ to the narrow sidewalk inside the Zoo Tunnel and ‘hello’ to the new pedestrian bridge!
Last month, the girders for the new bridge were installed next to Beach Drive, just south of the Zoo Tunnel.
The bridge will lead visitors to a wide, dedicated trail and away from the narrow sidewalk through the tunnel. The Zoo Loop Trail, which had collapsed, is being repaired. Look for announcements regarding the opening of the new bridge soon!”
