Missed Connection – CLT to DCA (Thursday night)

“Dear PoPville,

While having the fun experience of getting my late night connecting flight from Charlotte to DCA delayed and ultimately canceled until 6am the next day, I ran into someone super cool.

We first met while trying to find the exit of the airport after they closed nearly every exit down. I was exhausted and zooming down the halls just trying to get out of there. He was too and we kept running into each other attempting to exit. We had a few laughs at that.

Somehow we disconnected but ended up next to each other again in the taxi line. I learned he’s been in DC for a few years, and splits his time between here and Seattle. It was a nice conversation given how tired and bummed I was about my current travel situation. We went our separate ways then, and at that point I was wishing I at least got his name.

Our plane was finally ready to depart and I passed him by while boarding. Probably should have asked then but I think I was delirious and happy for us both that we made it on the plane. After landing I was again kicking myself for not getting a name.

I got my bags, ran to the taxi line ready to head home and guess who had just gotten into their cab? He turned to wave, and I couldn’t believe this just happened again lol! I waved back, but maybe I should have done a little romcom run after the cab to get his name.

So, man by way of Seattle/DC with the very cool tattoos and kind demeanor, what’s your name?

Ed. Note: If this is you, please email [email protected] so I can put you in touch with OP. PoPville is not affiliated with either party, please proceed with any potential connection at your own risk using caution as you would any online encounter. For those curious about past missed connections, many have been made and when possible I’ll try to update when/if more are made. Monday’s banana shirt MC and the kite festival volunteer MC were both connected!

We’re about a month out from summer. That means you’ve still got time for spring cleaning!

Lexi Grant, an operations manager at Well-Paid Maids, shared her go-to spring cleaning tips with WTOP News. Step one? Declutter. Get rid of items you don’t use, find space for items that need a home and organize those areas.

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
