From a press release:

Cracked Eggery is excited to announce their second location in Shaw at 1921 8th St. NW on Saturday April 2nd, 2022 at 7:00am sharp!

The Cracked Eggery journey began at the onset of the pandemic with a stand at the Cleveland Park Farmer’s Market. Catapulted by the frenzy for egg sandwiches, the team added a food truck and parked it near grocery stores to give Washingtonians something to look forward to during unprecedented times. In September 2021, the guys opened their first brick-and-mortar location in Cleveland Park (3420 Connecticut Ave NW) and egg sandwich fanatics lined up around the block to get their favorite menu items like The Mayor (cracked bacon, scrambled egg, American and cheddar cheese, and Cracked Sauce) and Abe Froman (Logan’s Sausage, American and cheddar cheese, and Cracked Sauce).

Fast forward to April 2nd, 2022 and the long anticipated opening of Cracked Eggery Shaw. The new location is built for take-out. Online and delivery orders will have large shelves in the store making preordering and contactless pick-up a breeze!

Cracked Eggery Shaw also allows for an expanded delivery radius. The team invested countless hours and resources to perfect delivery and take-out packaging – no cold egg sandwiches allowed!

We’ll be celebrating the OPENING of Shaw all weekend. Guests who visit the store will see the retro vibe, neon signs, and vintage sandwich posters that have become the “go to” background for Instagram and TikTok.

Hours: 7:00am – 3:00pm daily”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
