Now Leasing: 1000 South Capitol at the Ballpark District

Lerner’s newest luxury residence, 1000 South Capitol, marks the first residential apartment community in Washington, D.C. for the real estate titans.

Placemaking is nothing new for the Lerner family with the growth they have dedicated to Tysons and Dulles, Virginia and North Bethesda, Maryland. A throw’s away from National’s Park, the real estate developers and Washington Nationals owners are thrilled to continue growing the neighborhood.

The first residents moved in last Saturday.

With 24-hour concierge services and meticulously appointed residences, residents will enjoy the amenities all summer. One-of-a-kind amenities include a podcast studio, Mantracore® Fitness Studio, among others. The building’s unique exterior sawtooth facade speaks to the cutting-edge design by the internationally acclaimed, D.C.-based architectural firm, Shalom Baranes Associates, with interiors by Cecconi Simone, an award-winning interior design practice.

Residences range from studios to three-bedroom duplex penthouses, all with spectacular views of the Capitol, downtown Washington, D.C., and Virginia and distinctive floor plans. Quality and sophistication once again at Lerner’s finest.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
