Missed Connections – Emissary on 20th, Madam’s Organ, on Metro and at the Mount Vernon Square Apple Store

“Dear PoPville,

Last Friday around noon, I was looking for a spot to sit and work outside in front of Emissary on 20th St. Asked to share a picnic table with two guys who were chatting, and one of them announced that they were just leaving. Shared a sweet smile with his friend (light brown hair, glasses) on their way out. Maybe we can get another coffee and sit and stay a while…”

“I had a missed connection last Friday night at Madam’s Organ.

I was with a bunch of my friends and she walked in with a big group. Blonde, cute glasses. We chatted, I offered to buy her a beer but then one of her friends got her one instead and I never got the chance to hang out or give her my number.

So… cute blonde with the glasses, if you’re reading this, I’d really like to buy you a beer.”

“We were on the metro together on Wednesday afternoon on the redline. I got on at Dupont Circle and you hopped off at Metro Center but we caught each other’s eyes over and over and you looked back and gave me a nod goodbye as you got off You were holding a blue bag that said “Happy Birthday Roy” on it.”

“I was with my friend today (Thursday the 17th) at the Mount Vernon Square Apple Store. It was probably around 6:30pm. When we walked in, I noticed a guy shopping with his parents. The guy is pretty well known politico. So I decided I was going to go say hello and get a picture with him.

That went well and I told him my name. He seemed extremely kind and didn’t appear to mind taking a selfie. But I would love to grab a drink or coffee with him. I just wasn’t about to ask somebody out while they seem to be helping their parents shop for a phone. It already felt like a lot asking for a picture.

I was wearing a blue hat and a St. Patrick’s Day themed shirt (but I was probably the only person who asked him for a picture too).”

Ed. Note: If any of these is you, please email [email protected] so I can put you in touch with OP. PoPville is not affiliated with either party, please proceed with any potential connection at your own risk using caution as you would any online encounter. For those curious about past missed connections, many have been made and when possible I’ll try to update when/if more are made.
