Ed. Note: If this is you, please email [email protected] so I can put you in touch with OP. PoPville is not affiliated with either party, please proceed with any potential connection at your own risk using caution as you would any online encounter. For those curious about past missed connections, many have been made and when possible I’ll try to update when/if more are made.

“Dear PoPville,

Saturday night i was at bedrock billiards in adams morgan and i started talking to a guy because we were both wearing shirts with bananas on them!

He seemed really nice. He suggested that we take a picture together and i think he was trying to get my number by having me send him the pic? But i messed up and ran off because i had an uber waiting outside. I am hoping we can connect so i can send him this fun pic of us in our cute little banana shirts!”

and

“Dear PoPville,

Shaw Compass Coffee (7th Street) 2/25.

You were sitting at one of the corner benches with your friend doing some work. I was also at a corner bench across from you near the back and we made eye contact and smiled at each other a few times.

We left at the same time when they closed around 3 but I couldn’t stop to say hi. I remember it being such a nice afternoon too!

If you somehow see this and are interested would love to get in touch!”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
