Thanks to Alice for sending yesterday just before 5pm: “There were just a bunch of emergency vehicles blocking the intersection of T St NW and North Cap and a person on the street told me that someone drove into the house on the southwest corner.
All of the cops and firefighters just left the scene so it looks like there were no injuries and the house is hopefully structurally sound (for now ?) Definitely an insurance nightmare for everyone involved.”
DC Fire and EMS reported: “Crash with vehicle striking house N. Capitol and T St NW. #DCsBravest on scene. Driver & vehicle fled scene. Preliminary inspection finds no structural integrity issues. Request @dcra building inspector for further evaluation. No injuries.”
