Let’s Talk Today’s Testing

2132 Wisconsin Ave, NW

Mariam asked yesterday: “What’s the story with the new covid testing site set up at the old Cafe Romeo’s in Glover Park?”

Glover Park replied yesterday afternoon: “Less than 10 people in line. Jackpot!!!”

Update 10:11am Today (Wed.) “Just passed that new Glover Park testing popup–they’re closed and still there’s ~40 people in line

Update: bout 20 more people in line; However they just opened up”

Bryan sends from the Shaw library at 10am.

And the talk elsewhere around town this morning:

“line for Update – no rapid tests, just PCRs at West End Library wraps down 23rd street to M. I believe the library opened at 10am.”

“They have PCR but not rapid tests as of 10am with estimated delivery of rapid tests at noon. Line around the block and then some.”

“PCR line at the Aurora Highlands Curative is easily 200-300 people”

“Curative testing line at Lamb ES on 14th is appointment-only. Make sure to sign up before you get here!”

“Just waited in a big line at Cleveland Park library and they did not announce-until you were at the front to pick up the test-that no rapid tests were being given out until 12pm.”

“in line at northeast library, they don’t have tests, they don’t know when they are getting them. They were very clear they had plenty of library cards though.”

“MLK Library out of at-home test kits. Expecting a delivery later today.”

“Anyone else have an appointment at the JCC Curative today and then see they’re now listed as closed on Wednesdays?”

“I had a curative appointment there. They’re set up outside of the JCC. Get there early if you can.”

“Hey @PoPville do you know if the rapid antigen tests given out today are at 10a or noon? The @dcmayorsoffice infographic says noon but the @dcpl at Mt Pleasant says they open at 10a. Any ideas?”

“During the press conference they mentioned the distro hours may vary from the library hours.”

“FWIW Cleveland Park @dcpl told the folks waiting in line it will be at noon”

“Heads up folks this is the count, at the moment, with the highest number of tests available:

Edgewood Recreation Center
301 Franklin St NE, 5
Get Directions
As of: 12/22/2021, 9:14 AM there are 200 tests left.
Last inventory of the day: No”

“The Mt. Pleasant library line for rapid tests is at least 100+ deep and growing. Not even 10am.”

“A very stressed librarian has just told us that the tests are SUPPOSED to arrive at noon, but she has no idea of the arrival ETA, could be later. (Be nice to librarians). There are still a few available PCR tests.”

Finding a gift for moms can be difficult. Google “Mother’s Day gifts,” and you’ll scroll through endless lists of beauty products, candles and fuzzy robes. Sure, those are sweet, but sometimes it’s fun to surprise loved ones with something a little more, well, practical!

Here’s one idea: Give her a gift certificate for a home cleaning from Well-Paid Maids. It’s the perfect “thank you,” “I love you” or “you’ve got this” for any mom. She can schedule the home cleaning at her convenience and breathe easy knowing she has one less thing to do.

Our cleaners will take care of everything, including vacuuming and mopping as well as cleaning and dusting countertops, tables, mirrors, appliances and more. Sinks, toilets, showers and appliance exteriors also get a good scrub.
