“Winter Restaurant Week Returns January 17 – January 23”

From a press release:

“Winter Restaurant Week, presented by Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), returns as the biannual celebration of the region’s resilient restaurant industry. Restaurant Week gives both diners and restaurants something to celebrate this January with specially priced menus offered throughout DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.

Similar to its summer counterpart, Winter Restaurant Week will return to a one-week promotion with a focus on on-premise dining, but keep certain factors diners have grown to love with the past few cycles including RW-To-Go dinner meals and cocktail pairings.

Participating restaurants will offer multi-course brunch and lunch menus for $25 per person, and multi-course dinner menus for $40 or $55 per person for on-premises dining. Many restaurants will also offer RW-To-Go dinner meals, available at two price points: $70 or $100 for two people and $140 or $200 for four people. Enjoy festive winterized patios or get cozy indoors at hundreds of restaurants throughout DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.

“We are always so excited for Restaurant Week to showcase the region’s delicious restaurants, and to invite diners to try something new or experience Restaurant Week at their favorite places,” said RAMW President & CEO Kathy E. Hollinger. “With more than 250 restaurants to enjoy, there is something for everyone!”

The official Restaurant Week website www.rwdmv.com will launch in the coming weeks. Diners should visit the site to view participating restaurant menus, make reservations, and place orders. Participating restaurants will be added to the website as they join the promotion.

WHEN: Monday, January 17 – Sunday, January 23

Visit for links to participating restaurants, special menus, contact information, and hours of operation.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
