Your Afternoon Animal Fix – AdoPtville

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share for the regular fix please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. AdoPtville is run by a volunteer who compiles these pets weekly from local shelters.

As charming as the midnight sky, Charlie is a gorgeous cat with shiny black fur. Charlie is a mini-panther, but don’t let that intimidate you! Charlie is known to be an angel that is friendly and loves a good snuggle. When it comes to treat time, catnip is the top choice. Charlie loves anything with catnip, especially his catnip banana toy! While he is a friendly and sweet cat, he is a little shy when it comes to dogs and other animals, but, with time, his patient and kind nature shines through. Charlie will be sure to brighten your days with his large moon-like eyes and affectionate personality. Charlie can’t wait to find his forever home — could it be with you? Apply today!

Hi my name is Chaya and my name means life! My Thanksgiving wish is to have a wonderful life with a new family!

Chaya is such a loveable docile dog, with a big heart! She loves people and will greet everyone with a thorough tail wag. She is extremely adaptable and became comfortable in her foster home very quickly! That said, she is still building up her confidence — Chaya can be a little skittish on walks and in the house when there are unexpected loud sounds. Chaya will certainly let you know what she likes (belly rubs and treats) and what she doesn’t (rain and fireworks) and is always curious to learn more about new things.Chaya is a great companion and will keep you company during mundane tasks. She loves your undivided attention and would be best in a home without other dogs. Chaya is very smart, a creature of habit, and she loves the consistency of a routine. She has even learned the words “sit” and “down”! Chaya would thrive in a home with adopters who can help her learn and will give her plenty of snuggles along the way. The best thing about Chaya is that no matter what happens during the day, she is always around for cuddles and belly rubs before bed! Apply today!

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
