From a press release:

“Hiring and training are now underway for Wegmans Food Markets’ first store in Northwest Washington, D.C. at City Ridge. Located at the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and Rodman Street, the store will be part of the historic building formerly occupied by Fannie Mae’s headquarters. The new store is scheduled to open in the summer of 2022. Wegmans plans to employ approximately 450 people at this location, including 150 full-time positions. The majority of employees will be hired locally.

Full-time job applicants are invited to apply online at Wisconsin Ave Jobs. Interviews are conducted by appointment only and applications are not accepted at the store construction site. Available full-time positions include everything from entry-level management to customer service, overnight grocery, and culinary roles such as chefs and line cooks. Hiring for part-time positions will begin at a later date.

“Here at Wegmans, you’ll receive in-depth training that’s unrivaled in our industry, allowing you to drive your own development and grow with the company,” said Wisconsin Ave. Store Manager Kevin Russell, who began working for Wegmans 35 years ago. “You’re more than just a number, you’re an important part of our team who has a voice and an opportunity to build a career you are passionate about.”

Wegmans’ status as a great place to work is widely recognized. In 2021, the family-owned company placed fourth on FORTUNE magazine’s list of “The 100 Best Companies to Work For.” The company has ranked highly on the list for 24 consecutive years. Employees cite an extensive array of benefits as the reason they chose Wegmans, including competitive pay and benefits packages, premium pay on Sundays and holidays, tuition assistance through the company’s employee scholarship program, and flexible scheduling.

Wegmans Wisconsin Ave. is part of the City Ridge development, which includes commercial, residential, and retail facilities. The 84,000 square-foot supermarket will include a Market Café, coffee shop, and the family-friendly, casual restaurant The Burger Bar. The store site will include parking below, residential units above, and is accessible by the Tenleytown Metro station.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
