Thanks to Mark for sending: “I am thrilled to report that the demolition of McMillan is proceeding at an impressive clip. I have walked past the site every day this week and each time observed more progress in the dismantlement of the sand filtration structures.
There are multiple excavators hard at work for hours each day. As a resident of Bloomingdale, I cannot overstate how delighted I am to see the first step toward the development of McMillan. The corrupt, mendacious, malignant NIMBY forces that opposed this development have forced Bloomingdale to remain a food desert for far too long. I look forward to a future when our neighborhood has access to a grocery store in walking distance. And I can’t wait to welcome all our new neighbors once housing is completed on the site.”
