This morning (Friday, 6/11) I asked a stranger if I could take the seat next to him at A Baked Joint. (It was packed and way louder than I remembered – mid-pandemic sensory overload!) I sat down with a biscuit sandwich and a book. He was already reading a book and asked me about mine.
I randomly picked it (The Stationery Shop) out of a bookstore weeks ago and barely knew what it was about. He was reading The Moral Landscape. I was going to ask him more about his book after I finished eating, but he wished me a good day before I was able.
