“Coming off a two-city road trip, the Nationals return home to D.C. on Friday for an exciting nine-game homestand during which the Baltimore Orioles, Cincinnati Reds, and Milwaukee Brewers come to town.
In response to the Mayor’s announcement on Monday regarding mask requirements in the District of Columbia, the Washington Nationals will be changing the face covering policy at Nationals Park for the upcoming homestand, starting Friday, May 21. Please see below for more details.
In addition, the Government of the District of Columbia has approved the team’s request to operate at 100% capacity starting June 10th, to coincide with the beginning of our next homestand. Tickets for those games will go on sale soon.
Single Game Tickets
- Tickets are now on sale to the general public for all home games between May 21 and 30, when Nationals Park will operate at 36% capacity.
- Tickets start at $14 and fans who are interested in purchasing tickets in pods of 1-6 people should visit nationals.com/Tickets2021.
New Face Covering Policy
- Fully vaccinated fans – meaning you are two weeks past your final shot – will be able to attend the upcoming games without wearing an approved face covering.
o This applies to all fans regardless of whether they are seated indoors or outdoors.
- Ticketed fans who are not fully vaccinated will be required to wear an approved face covering at all times except when actively eating or drinking in their seats.
- Fans can visit nationals.com/WelcomeHome for more information regarding acceptable face coverings at the ballpark.
COVID Vaccine Distribution event
- The Washington Nationals will be partnering with the D.C. Department of Health to host two vaccination events at Nationals Park during the upcoming homestand.
- Before the games on Friday May 21 and Sunday May 23 against the Orioles, the Department of Health will be stationed right outside Nationals Park to offer free Johnson & Johnson vaccines to anyone from DC, Maryland, or Virginia who would like to be vaccinated, even if you aren’t going to the game!
- The event will run from 4 to 8 pm on Friday and from 10 am to 2 pm on Sunday. No appointment is needed to get a vaccine.
- The event will take place on the corner of 1st St and Potomac Ave, near the grand staircase at First Base Gate (where the First St. Party Tent was located).
- Not only will you get a free vaccine, but the first 200 fans each day to receive a vaccine onsite at Nationals Park on these two dates will receive a Nationals prize bag as well!
- And if you are headed to the game, you’ll be able to store your prize bag for free at one of the Binbox locations outside the ballpark.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!
The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!
What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
