More Info on Etabli Opening Soon in Bloomingdale

84 T Street, NW (1st and T St just off Rhode Island Ave)

From Etabli:

“Restauranteurs Kathleen Davis and Thomas Boisvert (founders and former co- owners of The Pursuit Wine Bar) are excited to announce the opening of their new venture: établi.

The aptly named établi (French for “established”) features a diverse and extensive by-the-glass wine offering curated by Kathleen and Thomas who have long proven themselves as purveyors of accessible taste. établi’s wine menu features many wines produced by family-owned wineries, small batch producers, and women.

The dinner menu focuses on Mediterranean flavors intended to complement and amplify établi’s wine selection. Entrees include house-made pasta and Neapolitan pizza from établi’s brick-oven. The menu includes an extensive list of small plates perfect for having a quick bite with a glass of wine.

établi also features an array of wine flights for those looking to explore different wine varieties. Kathleen and Thomas seek to create a welcoming space for guests to step outside their comfort zone and cultivate their palette.

Additionally, for those looking to drink at home, établi also boasts an extensive retail wine program — Carpe Vinum. Carpe Vinum is a membership-based retail program which features wines curated directly by Kathleen and Thomas for quality and unique character, but with an emphasis on affordability and everyday drinkability. Members of the program have access to detailed tasting notes online as well as direct access to Kathleen and Thomas for all of their pressing wine inquiries.

Located in the heart of Bloomingdale, in the space formerly occupied by neighborhood favorite Tyber Creek, établi has an intimate indoor space and a spacious outdoor patio, perfect for after work happy hour, first dates, catch-up drinks with good friends, and family gatherings.

Later this summer, établi plans to host in-person wine club gatherings as well as guided tastings with wine producers and distributors, where guests can hear firsthand the stories behind their favorite wines from experts involved in making and distributing them.

Preview dates will be announced soon for friends and neighbors, both new and old. In the mean time, Kathleen and Thomas are excited to welcome you to their newest venture in wine and hospitality.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
