Real Estate Fresh Finds: November 18

Real Estate Fresh Finds is a weekly selection of newly-listed properties in the District, brought to you by Real Living At Home.

Featured Property of the Week: 2216 Hall Place NW

“Exquisite with traditional design, 2216 Hall Place NW feels decidedly European and unique. With an elegant front entrance on Hall Place NW, the stained glass windows are just one of the many charming features. This is a perfect home for a buyer looking to purchase in this neighborhood, with lots of space and 3 bedrooms on the top floor, along with a bathroom. This home has great light and a large yard. The in-law suite is renovated with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. Let your tenant finance a kitchen renovation! Situated close to Rock Creek Parkway, and Wisconsin Ave NW, it is easy to get around town and live in the heart of upper NW D.C. Easy commute to Bethesda and Tysons Corner as well. There is a mix of oak and tile flooring throughout the home. The basement has a full one-bedroom apartment with a walk-in closet, which could be rented for additional income OR live in it while you renovate the upstairs! This gorgeous estate is a must-see in D.C.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
