Update From MPD 12:53pm: “MPD is currently working a barricade situation in the 1200 block of 1st Street, NE. Preliminarily, one individual is barricaded in a room with a knife. There are no hostages involved or injuries to report at this time.“

From Alert DC: “MPD reports police activity in the vicinity of the 1200 block of First Street NE, between Patterson Street and M Street NE. The 1200 block of First Street NE will be closed until further notice. Please use an alternate route.”
