35th Annual Mayor’s Arts Awards Goes Virtual!

For the first time ever Mayor Muriel Bowser presents the 35th Annual Mayor’s Arts Awards is going virtual!

The awards show is produced by The DC Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment, in conjunction with the DC Creative Affairs Office and will premiere on Wednesday, September 30 at 7 p.m.

The Mayor’s Arts Awards is the most prestigious honors conferred by the city on individual artists, arts educators, nonprofit organizations, the creative community and patrons of the arts. Mayor Muriel Bowser will be celebrating this year’s distinguished representatives within the District’s arts and creative communities, chosen by the people of Washington, D.C.

Artists and organizations will be recognized across a dozen categories, celebrating everything from visual arts, humanities, to the nightlife of the District. From dynamic performances to surprise guests, this year’s virtual ceremony will be a night to remember honoring the best of D.C.’s creatives in all 8 wards.

The NOMINATION round is open now and ends on August 27 at 5 p.m. During this round, all District residents will get a chance to highlight their favorite D.C. Creatives in all categories found at www.dcmayorsartsawards.com. You can nominate one person or organization per each category. Get ready to use your voice and cast your nominations for your favorite D.C. Creatives!

After the nomination round, you can come back to VOTE for the top 3 nominees in each category beginning August 31 at 9 a.m. through September 14 at 5 p.m.
