Bun DC Building Up For Sale on Sherman

2905 Sherman Ave, NW

Thanks to Daniela and Amanda for sending:

“I walked past Bun DC this morning and noticed that a “for sale” sign has been added to the building. The restaurant was a welcome addition to Park View and I’ll be very sad to see it closed.”

The listing (for $2,000,000) says:

“Great Business opportunity! Commercial/Residential 3 levels building renovated in 2015. The property offers a Restaurant (currently in Operation), located on the main and lower levels with front and rear patios for additional tables. On the upper level a 1 Bed/1 Bath Apartment with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and hardwood floors throughout. All of the Restaurant equipment conveys, which makes this almost a turnkey situation for a restaurant operator.

The building is centrally located, only a few minutes from Howard University, Georgia Ave Corridor, DC USA Shopping Mall, Columbia Heights Metro, Children’s National Hospital, MedStar Washington Hospital Center, and more. Please contact Listing Agent only for additional information.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
