“Robbery with shots fired
On March 8, 2020, members of the Fifth District were dispatched to the 1300 block of W Street NE for the report of a robbery. Once on scene members learned that the complainant was approaching her car when the two suspects, described as black males, 10-12 years of age, confronted her and demanded her property.
The suspects were able to obtain the victim’s iPhone and chased her as she ran away. One of the two males pointed a handgun at the victim and fired twice and both suspects fled on foot. The complainant sustained a graze wound and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
This offense is being investigated by the Fifth District Detectives Office. Anyone with information is asked to call (202)727-9099.”
