Dog Stolen from a NoMa Backyard Saturday, Lady, has been found!!!

“Dear PoPville,

Lady has been found!!! The owner was able to find her this afternoon, in part because of tips from people commenting– Kelly was able to go to areas where she had been seen and picked her up at 13th and U.

From the owner:

“Everybody I found her today on 13th and u st I guy had her at the 7eleven standing outside.He was homeless ,I was pulling up at the light and happen to look over and my heart dropped, I jumped out the truck and called her name she ran to me.The guaran to with me and baseball bat in hand.I can’t Express the thanks that I have for EVERY ONE THANK U THANK U TO ALL MY NEIGHBORS TEAM LADY”

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District seek the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in reference to a Theft Two offense that occurred on Saturday, February 22, 2020, in the 1100 block of Abbey Place, Northeast.

At approximately 12:50 pm, the victim let her dog out into her fenced in yard at the listed location. The suspect took the dog from the location then fled the scene.

The stolen dog can be seen in the photo below. The dog is described as a 3 year-old tan and white pit-bull that goes by the name “Lady”.

Anyone who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.”
