Thought I’d share something we came across while venue searching- did you know that St Francis Hall (a super popular venue!) doesn’t allow gay couples to get married there? There is a lovely person there who’s been trying to fight the policy but hasn’t had any luck.
They explained the “Roman Catholic principles” are literally just in reference to gay marriage. There’s been a little progress as they now allow receptions for gay couples but not ceremonies.
Anyway, just thought it’s something people should know since they definitely don’t advertise that fact in any of their promotional materials!”
