From a press release:

“The sibling duo behind beloved D.C. food trucks Peruvian Brothers - Giuseppe and Mario Lanzone – are opening their first brick-and-mortar location in the Union Market District’s vibrant new Latin marketplace, La Cosecha (1280 4th Street NE) next month.

The Peruvian-style sandwiches, empanadas, desserts and hot sauces that power their award winning food trucks will now have a permanent place to call home when the new Peruvian Brothers officially opens with an all-day celebration on Saturday, February 1.

The grand opening will highlight Peruvian cuisine, art and culture on International Pisco Sour Day in partnership with the Embassy of Perú. Festivities will kick off at 11am with an alpaca petting zoo as well as a special rotating tasting menu featuring more than half a dozen delicious (and free!) bites and sips, including mini empanadas, chicharron sliders, yucca fries, pisco sour slushies and more. Throughout the 12-hour, family-friendly Peruvian party, guests will be treated to live music, dancing, a modern art exhibition featuring works by Peruvian artist Jorge Caceres and more.

Ahead of the big celebration, Peruvian Brothers will be offering a limited pop-up menu starting this weekend that features sandwiches, empanadas and alfajores cookies, all of which will become permanent fixtures on the menu.

Peruvian Brothers will be open Thursday through Sunday, 11am to 10pm.”
