Official Word from Wawa on their Grand Opening Festivities Planned for Tomorrow (Thurs.) in Adams Morgan

Doors Open 11 a.m., Festivities begin 4 p.m., Grand Opening Celebration Begins 6 p.m.

The new D.C. store will offer customers the best of all of Wawa’s newest food service offers, including new custom salads. Coffee will be free through Sunday, Sept. 29 in celebration of the grand opening.

Also, as an exclusive offer created specifically for the DC community, all Wawa DC stores will feature the Strawberry Sparkler “mocktail” – a sparkling strawberry, lemonade beverage for a limited time with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Light the Night DC.

During this landmark evening grand opening event, Wawa will be joined by local officials, heroes and community members for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony. Highlights of the event will include:

4 p.m. festivities begin
6 p.m. Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
FREE coffee for all customers through Sunday, Sept. 29
Special giveaways – first 200 customers will receive Wawa t-shirts and an entry form to be eligible for other giveaways, including exclusive Wawa Adams Morgan pint glasses and a chance to win two tickets to the Washington Capitals’ home opener, including a VIP experience.
Sign-ups for LLS’s light the Night DC Walk
Hoagies for Heroes hoagie building competition to see who can build the most hoagies in three minutes in the traditional Wawa way. Wawa will conclude the Hoagies for Heroes competitions by presenting checks for $1,000 on behalf of the winning and runner up teams to support Light the Night.
