Real Estate Fresh Finds: August 21

Real Estate Fresh Finds is a weekly selection of newly-listed properties in the District, brought to you by Real Living At Home.

Featured Property of the Week: 620 Oneida Street NE

Built in 1951, this 4 BR/2.5 BA semi-detached brick row home has been renovated by the current owners for the past 2 years. The improvements include all redone bathrooms, new exterior and interior doors, new windows, a completely replaced basement, new systems and a bevy of other new features. The home has remote-controlled in-floor mood lights, a Ring doorbell, Nest thermostats and other smart home features that puts this home firmly in the 21st century, despite the home’s classic charm.

In the back is a beautifully landscaped garden and yard with plenty of room for a dog, a grill and for relaxation. While the home retains the traditional feel of the original rowhome, it’s firmly cemented in today’s generation with all of the upgrades that make this home truly shine!

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
