On Saturday, June 29, Nando’s PERi-PERi will host a “Nando’s Like My Nan Does” party in DC. Fortunate guests who pre-register and are selected can show up at Nando’s Yards restaurant (300 Tingey Street, SE) from 3pm-6pm to dine for free on succulent PERi-PERi chicken and sides. Plus tea sandwiches fit for your Nana! So come for your Early Bird dinner and kick back old school with a live performance by DC’s beloved band, “Granny & The Boys.” [NPR’s Weekend Edition says 86-year-old Alice “Granny” Donahue “fronts DC’s coolest house band.”] Suggested dress code: Granny Chic.
The party theme comes courtesy of a Nando’s super fan. He was one of the winners of an online “Keys to the Coop” contest asking Nando’s fans: “What would you do if you could take over Nando’s for a day?”
