Real Estate Fresh Finds: June 19

Real Estate Fresh Finds is a weekly selection of newly-listed properties in the District, brought to you by Real Living At Home.

Featured Property of the Week: 1258 Neal Street NE

In the heart of NE D.C. is this Trinidad 4 BR/3.5 BA interior row home boasting over 2,600 square feet across 3 levels. The home’s aesthetic begins with built-in bookcases around the gas fireplace in the living room, leading to decorative columns and ornate trim as well as a gorgeous teak kitchen with stainless appliances and counters with teak edging.

The upper level features 3 bedrooms, including the master bedroom and bathroom as well as a secondary bath serving the other 2 bedrooms. On the lower level is a full in-law suite complete with a bedroom, bathroom, sitting room, an entire kitchen and its own front and rear entrances. Finally, the rear of the home is ideal for serenity with its wood deck and fenced-in stone patio with plenty of room for grilling and entertaining that leads to the detached garage at the back.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
