When: Saturday, May 4, 2019 – 9:30 am
Where: Salvation Army Sherman Ave. Corps 3335 Sherman Ave. NW Washington, DC 20010

On Saturday, May 4, volunteers from DC will join Generosity Feeds to pack about 10,000 delicious, nutritious meals in about two hours. This event is visual and exciting, and every meal will be distributed to families locally.
Generosity Feeds is a nonprofit dedicated to feeding American children who struggle with hunger.

“A culinary chef created our meals to be tasty, nutritious, and satisfying,” said Ron Klabunde, Founder and CEO of Generosity Feeds. “They’re full of sustainable sources of protein and fiber. After the meals are packed, they are distributed through local schools or food pantries to students who qualify for free and reduced meals.”

One-for-one every dollar feeds one child in need, and donations to help cover costs are always appreciated.

“Like any of us, children struggle when they’re hungry,” said Klabunde. “This event will help us give them hope as thousands of nutritious meals are packed and distributed to local children struggling with hunger. We’ve come up with a formula that assembles and distributes these meals quickly and efficiently. Together, this effort will help local kids and their families.”

How You Can Help

Volunteers and donations are needed. This is a family-friendly event that is open to children as young as three years old.

About Generosity Feeds

More than 13-million children in America struggle with hunger. That’s one in every six. The number is even higher in Frederick County.

Generosity Feeds wants all children to have the opportunity to thrive, but it’s hard to thrive when your next meal is uncertain. We partner with local businesses, churches, schools, and nonprofits to feed hungry children in their communities. As we grow, we hope to help kids in every county in the United States.

We would love to work with your organization to host a meal-packaging event that can build relationships, inspire long-term generosity, and feed hungry children in your community.

Generosity Feeds is an initiative of the Replenish Community Foundation, 501c3. We are a Gold Participant in the GuideStar Nonprofit Exchange (GuideStar.org). Learn more about our mission at GenerosityFeeds.org.”
